With the motto “Community, Commitment, and Caring,” Friends of On Lok (FOL) have been championing On Lok’s mission for 30 years, and their Annual Luncheon Fashion Show is the group’s signature event benefiting our senior programs.
Last October, the Friends of On Lok and their family members across generations, from children to great-grandparents, walked the runway at the Hilton Financial District in San Francisco to raise funds for the new Harry and Jeanette Weinberg On Lok Memory Care Center.
As ambassadors in the community, the Friends of On Lok champion our mission, organize fundraising events, and volunteer at On Lok’s senior centers. Members bring their different backgrounds, ideas, and talents to the group, contributing to the creativity that has become the hallmark of FOL’s initiatives.
On Lok's Board of Directors and community extend their deepest appreciation to the Friends of On Lok for being such an integral part of our mission and journey. We acknowledge Friends of On Lok's President Darlene Mar, the Generations Fashion Show Committee, and the members of Friends of On Lok for their invaluable contributions in advocating for On Lok. A heartfelt thank you to all the entertainers, fashion designers, models, and volunteers who donated their time and talents to Flutter, including: Dion Lim, Jan Yanehiro, Doris Grover, Jasmine Lee, Grant Avenue Follies, Heiwa Taiko, Chung Ngai Dance Troupe, The Autonomous Region, Jaslyn Kwan and Jacob Karasik, Studio on Chestnut, Lin Ling Chinese Dress Design Center, Kim + Ono, Vanite Couture, and Rotary Club of SF Chinatown.
