Biography

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Carl Gerlach provides financial management leadership for On Lok, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, payroll, On Lok Housing, purchasing, and our PLACES team (capital projects, facility maintenance, and janitorial services).

Carl has more than 50 years of experience in healthcare finance, improving financial performance, and business planning. He has held roles as CFO, chief executive officer, board member, and consultant for hospitals, medical groups, clinics, healthcare systems, and managed care organizations. Carl brings to On Lok expertise in best practices, systems, and regulatory requirements to further strengthen our long-term financial sustainability. Early in his career, he also served as a financial consultant for On Lok.

Carl holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Occidental College.
